MetroCAD was formed to satisfy a need to create accurate 3D CAD Data to enable our partner company to provide simulations of production facilities and robotics within the European automotive industry. Production line commissioning and particularly programming robots was once a very manual process and required an incalculable number hours of work and rework on the factory floor. This was often due to a lack of any accurate data, cohesive design process or accurate construction documentation, which even if that did exist was often only available in 2D formats
Since that time MetroCAD have taken over the functions of our former partner bringing all of the Robot Programming and Simulation together with the existing Metrology and 3D Laser Scanning technologies we have been able to offer
